Don’t Drink … Gamble!
If you enjoy a cocktail from time to time, leave your money out of the casino if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your evening bag, your money belt, and leave all cash, plastic credit and checkbooks back at the hotel. Take whatever money you intend to use on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket change you expect to lose and leave the rest behind.
Contemptuous? Not really. Realistic more like. You can have a win after a boozy evening out with your friends and be blessed sufficiently to catch a marathon toss at a hot craps game. Keep that account because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink alcohol and bet. The two just don’t mix.
Keeping your moola at home is a tiny bit dramatic, but defensive measures for drastic behavior is essential. If you gamble to win, then do not consume alcohol and gamble. If you can afford to blow your money without a concern, then drink all the free alcohol you are able to handle, but do not pack credit cards and chequebooks to throw into the mix of chasing squanderings after your inebriated head throws away everything!
Allow me to take this a single step further. Don’t drink alcohol and then head on the net to bet in your favorite casino either. I enjoy a beverage from the coziness of my condo, however considering that I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards near by, I can’t drink alcohol and gamble.
What’s the reason? Although I do not drink alcohol to excess, when I drink alcohol, it’s definitely enough to blur my judgment. I gamble, so I do not drink alcohol when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, do not gamble when you do. When mixed, both create a dangerous, and crazy, drink.
