Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where casino gaming is banned. Eight casinos are anchored in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing income accrued from the gambling halls ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of controls requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; still, funding sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are supposedly necessary to cross, there are ways around this, as is accurate of many borders.

The first Cambodia casinos premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary boat casino, contains one hundred and fifty slots and sixty tables. The Naga gambling hall is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. A total of one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slot machines and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around resort and hotel complex that highlights a number of amenities accompanying the gambling den, which provides ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 tables.
